Moein Sho
Concept Artist

Born in Kerman, Iran — 1986

I have been drawing since childhood. Portraiture and anatomy became my language before I knew what language meant. Later, I graduated in Graphics from Azad University (2007), but my real education happened inside the studio — and outside it, on the streets, in the news, in the silence between people.

What inspires me?

Politics. Human relations. The masks we wear. The faces we hide.

My work is not about beauty. It is about tension — between power and weakness, love and betrayal, concealment and eruption. I am interested in the moment before a feeling breaks through. The second when the poker face cracks.

My artistic approach

I work primarily with oil on canvas. Realism, but not classical. I distort what needs to be distorted. I exaggerate what society tries to hide — veins, muscles, suffocation, desire.

Each series is a research project. I spend months reading, writing, sketching, before the first brushstroke. My paintings are not illustrations. They are arguments. Questions frozen in oil.
